Ken is a founding partner of Discovery Financial Group Ltd. He brings over forty-one years of experience having worked for leading life insurance and investment companies.

Along the way, Ken has developed a wealth of expertise in both life insurance and financial services and founded Crossco Financial Inc. He runs a thriving financial services practice, providing solutions to both families and businesses. His extensive field experience translates into great service for you – whether it be in rural or urban communities – in Saskatchewan and Western Canada.

During his years in the financial services industry, he had ten years of management, working his way up to vice-president and in charge of a division across Canada. Prior to that, he worked in the potash industry as a miner; in the family owned retail grocery business; and as a former mayor/councilor.

In his career, he has taken or been involved in the following: A.M.T.C. (Agency Manager Training Course); graduate of Dale Carnegie; Certificate in Effective Presentation (RCMP) and was a previous local director of CAIFA (The Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) and L.I.M.A (Life Insurance Management Association).

To date, Ken has earned both the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) designations. He is currently working towards the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.

He has many interests and hobbies, outside of the office, including sports (would rather participate than watch); yard work (no choice – 8/10ths of an acre); physical fitness (high priority) – he was a marathon man in 2001/2002/2003/2004 and did the West Coast Trail in 2012.

Ken and his wife, Joanne, enjoy church and family activities with their two daughters, Kelly (Derek) and Tara-Lee (Jeff) and grandchildren.
